Are you trying to say, that if this new feature is implemented, that players would stop entering towns/leaving towns, changing districts, etc.? That does not make any sense.

If this feature was implemented, it would not create any adverse affects on the amount of miniatures in towns. People would still enter/leave towns, change districts, zone, etc. which frees up spaces for more miniatures in towns.

Besides, taking out miniatures in even the busiest/most populated towns (take Lion's Arch district one for example) has never a problem.

I think you misunderstood me. Take Kamadan district one for example, always exesses of 100 people, and lets face it who deosn't have a mini? And who would'nt they turn on the feature? No reson not to. People will still come and go ofc, and thats part of the problem.

As it is now AFK'ers and people selling stuff proberly dont have their minis out all the time, as you said there is no problem getting a mini out as it is now. If the idea got introduced there would CONSTANTLY be 20 minis in the district becasuse 100 people, thats 100 minis all set to come out, and as one guy leaves another person already in the district who effectivly has the mini "queued" and will be put in as soon as, meaning only those in the district for a very long time get to place there mini.

Unless you are saying there will never be more than 20 people in kamadan at any one time who would turn this feature on, i would turn it on, obviously everyone who signed this would turn it on, how many more would it need? Not having it on would just make it even harder for the mini to come out.

Imagine there was a 20 person limit on who could display armor with a feature similar to that suggested, would you ever keep it off?

The benefits of this simple and handy feature far outweigh the unlikely pitfalls you are fabricating.

The amount of people who take out miniatures in town is surprisingly small as it is now. Taking a miniature out in an extremely crowded town is not even the slightest problem.

You honestly think that every person who does not take miniature pets out in town now would suddenly be spontaneously compelled to do so with the implementation of this new feature?? I don’t think so.

Besides, how much would it bother you if your point of contention would come true? Say there are 20 mini pets constantly in Lion's Arch district one or Kamadan district one. Would it kill if you could not bring your miniature pet out into these districts 100% of the time?

The handiness of this feature would far outweigh the unrealistic downsides that you say could happen.

Yup.

Compare your title and your rank emote. Everyone in town has a title but how often do you /rank? Minis and titles are quite similar, both are for prestige and for the most part have no purpose (i know displaying titles have certain effects but if they didnt they would display somthing else anyway). The diffrence is now that titles are displayed forever and minis are displayed when activated (similar to /rank only untill you leave a zone rather than a few seconds). Why not just tell the mini to auto activate check is like why not display your title, even if it sucks and you dont really care for it, still no reson not to it holds prestige just like you mini and requires only one click and you can leave it that way forever. Imagine you had to turn on your title same way you turn on your mini, you would only bother with the good ones right? And even then not all the time.

Of cource limiting it to 20 titles per town would make a massive diffrence, i dont see why minis would be any diffrent.

Comparing titles and rank emotes to miniature pets? You are arguing with tangents.
As I stated before, it would be a simple and handy feature. You seem to be over-reacting and creating worse-case possible scenarios for the sake of arguing.

While miniature pets are indeed somewhat an item of “prestige,” this new feature would not result in everyone opting to take out their miniatures in towns.

Say your worst-case scenario did come true. Let me ask again, why would it bother you so much? Or, again, are you simply arguing now for the sake of arguing? Would you be devastated if you could not take your miniature out in Kamadan district one 100% of the time? In the unlikely event your worst-case scenario came true, it would only be a small downside.

So your primary argument against it, is that to many people would use it?

Looks like it.
Kinda a strange arguement.

I mean, that's kinda the point of adding an interface update. People would use it.

Exactly, theres no good reason not to add it, unless they decide to not add anymore ui features.

But there is a good reason not to add it, the reason why i post is to show you of it .

I rekon this would cause way more bad than good. This is because as it is now if you want your mini pet out, double click it and you never need to worry about the limit, so where is the problem? If you forget your mini do you really want it out anyway? People who remeber it (accually want their mini out) should have priority. This idea risks the a-net classic of fixing that which isnt really broken. I would personally prefer people who can be botherd to double click there pet when they want it out get the chance to show there mini over those who has been AFK'ed the longest, to bad im alone on that one .

Basicly its obvious anyone who has a mini would turn this on, everyone in this thread would, which already makes 20ish already, what is one good reason why not to turn this on? Is there more than 20 people in major cities with a mini? Yep. So thats why i think this would mean a constant stream of 20 minis in a district at anyone time, you are in a queue of 100 people when you enter this district

Im saying as long as the 20 mini pet limit is there this isnt vaiable inside of towns.

So from what I can tell, your fear is that the minipet limit will always be reached in major towns and outposts.

I think that has no base, every major town has many many districts each with hundreds of people constantly switching, joining, and leaving. As far as I can predict, business would go on as usual. Not to mention that it would now provide other minipet owners the ability to have their minis out when they are in any town/outpost/explorable area, and not just in the major towns.

/signed for explorable areas.

This would be a clusterfest in high population towns where there is a miniature limit.

If you really care about your Mini that much, you would manually take it out all the time.

Otherwise, you don't care enough.

It may be pointless, but it's quite annoying not having a thing that is supposed to follow you actually following you.

Its human nature to only be able to handle a certain number of tasks at one given moment. You cant tell me that you can easily remember your minipet every time.
